well chernobyl wasn't a nuclear explosion but rather a meltdown via leaking radiation. Not many people actually died in the incident.

A whole lot of people died later on due to radiation poisoning, but that's about it.

atomic bombs, radiation, chernobyl, or pretty much anything that relates to nuclear shit really fascinates me. guess I'm just weird :v:

I remember reading an article about how there's mutated catfish in the cooling ponds.. there apparently pretty fucking huge... Fun fact: It was designed by the same person who designed the empire state building, it's actually a heritage site and at one stage had cameras inside but the angsty kids that go there are like batshit crazy and will go through a lot to salvage stuff (TL:DR people stole all the cameras)

I've explored a hunting ground for bow hunters, when I was with my posse we came across an abandoned railroad house with lots and lots of farming equipment and a broken down freight car. As we trekked on we saw a large radar tower, we decided to divert from the path towards it(Dunno if it was military protected or not) We got lost and ended up three towns over from where we begun, after getting our bearings but then getting mixed up again, we all came across an abandoned house. We went inside and in the middle of the floor was a pit filled with green, rusty, slimy water. Then we finally found our way back, in the dark.

There's no cool abandoned stuff where i live. :( I think there's the remains of a train boxcar in a field near the local bar (10 miles away from the nearest train line, somehow.) and some decaying farm sheds nearby. And a couple of miles away there's a car showroom that's been locked up with a metal grate across the front since the 1980s and it's got a pristine VW beetle in there amongst other things. I'll go find a google street view of it to make up for my lack of new page content.

Illinois is pretty much barren, here.

I live near lots of awesome stuff, the abandoned power house, the old military ammo depo, the beach and port coogee.

Oh there's a lot of cool stuff round prague. Problem is it's not exactly abandoned most of the time.

There's a condemned coal mill near where we live, it's probably filled with hobos, though.

There was a whole abandoned mining town back where my roomie used to live in BC. Closest abandoned thing I have here is a 100-year old mill. All that's left of it is the foundation and cellar. Never been in it, you hear weird ass things coming from inside it.

The only things abandoned in the Keys are boats. Both above surface and also well under water. Awesome shit to check out when SCUBA diving.

Nearest abandoned shit for me are some old mining towns around 50 miles west. They're pretty cool, but completely empty.

I got nothin' I live in a tourist trap. If there was anything left that was abandoned, it was quickly torn down and replaced with something 'fresh' looking.

There ain't old buildings and such in my area. except other regions in my country are rich with them.
