By your definition, a hydraulic is a servo which it seemed like you were implying for me to not use.
Just stop posting. You look stupid.
Servo: Anything that's output is continuously altered by its input . Not just that tool in the UWSVN.
Go to wiki and ask for your money back
I use servo to describe any servomechanism. Servomotor is just a type of servomechanism. [editline]1st December 2010[/editline]
Go to wiki and ask for your money back
A servomechanism, or servo is an automatic device that uses error-sensing negative feedback to correct the performance of a mechanism....a servomechanism may or may not use a servomotor. For example, a household furnace controlled by a thermostat is a servomechanism, yet there is no motor being controlled directly by the servomechanism Wire hydraulics increasing the length is essentially what a hydraulic-pumping servomotor would do.
Please leave.

I'm going to try using the servo in the unofficial wire extras but before I do, would outputing a longer length when thrust is on- make it stronger?

Goddammit, Captain obvious saving the day here...why I started posting in FP in the first place, to learn how to get the fuck better) I've worked on servos before IRL, I'm pretty knowledgeable on real-life stuff as i spent a lot of time working on engines, motors, hydraulics, and shit like that. Been using that term a long time like that--I call anything, PID loop, simple feedback, anything that takes feedback a servo. I think there's a difference between and . Satisfied?

Satisfied?
Just because they build better than you, it ruins Gmod. Oh, and if you hate the stuff we post and hate us, why do you post and fight us down anyway. Think man. We won't except you until you post better. And get rid of that avatar. If you can't handle it here, go back to Reddit or 4Chan.
Sorry man but you're kinda annoying. Humility and less memes will probably take you a long way. Not to say I did that, I was just a bastard to everyone and gently pushed people that didn't like my view of garrysmod off the forums.
This thread is really derailed. I'm just going to ask you one last time to leave the threads. You're creating commotion which in turn, derails almost every thread we have here. For you, every thread you post in creates a shitstorm. I'm asking to just ignore him. Now Reaper, if you don't want to leave the threads (which I can clearly see you don't), capitalize, spell and don't use memes, and you should be fine. If you can get people to just see that you are a decent builder, you should be able to be respected. This isn't Reddit or 4Chan. Accept that.
It isn't him creating the shitstorms. It's all of you retards going haywire whenever he posts. It's unnecessary. Just stop doing it. You're all way more annoying than him. One dude can't threadshit, but 10 guys ranting about how one dude is annoying sure can. Now then. I was thinking about having some race car competition, where you'd score points for looks and for a time around a race track. Kinda like the rally competition KArB had, but somehow taking the failed ending out of it all. It's just that there's like 15 guys posting here these days.
Sounds good Haddock, Im working on a car with 3 variants: track racing, rally and normal. Inspired by this volvo [img_thumb]http://www.blogcdn.com/green.autoblog.com/media/2007/02/volvo-c30-concept-small.jpg[/img_thumb] But yeah the major issue is that theres not much people who post on the contraptions forum. :saddowns:

Here's a help/noob question. I always see people making these amazing engines, but whenever I try to make one it has about as much torque as a wet paper towel. Is there some kind of secret to engine power I am not getting? I've tried making them big and small with very little success.

When i connect engines to wheels i also get really horrible grip.
