Oh my god, this is just wonderful. Music is perfect, ragdoll posing was good, pacing was great... Just perfect almost. Shooting scene is obviously somethin to fix, but otherwise, I'm impressed. Yes scout Im posting not too long after faolco but he sent me the link to this. Not everything needs a filter scout, and hell, sometimes the filter is what tends to ruin your films. Fumples, what you did was perfect, you don't need a filter for everything.
stalka... Im just saying a few filters help. it can make the film have more color or have a darker tone. If theres no filters, it just looks too much like a game..
one, it tastes good, and every movie does need filters, the gmod colors are too bright and look ehh, im not saying making it all dark, but you can get ride of alot of... gmod flukes through a few filters.
I agree to an extent. When things are too bright, it needs to look more realistic by dumming down the color. But then you dumb it down too much, and it looks even worse.
well unless its comedy filters are not needed, i take back on EVERYTHING but drama, definitely need some filters to help present the tone. just add color correction, and brightness and contrast, and play around you can get some awesome effects. They can just be slight and it will set the mood right.

It didn't have alot of bullshit, it looked...good.
I THOUGHT that looked good. It didn't have alot of bullshit, it looked...good.
its the filter i plan to use for my next movie. BUT back on track now, slap some color correction on a video fumples and test it out, it will look alot better.
Meh, I will see what I can do. Next film will be action.
I know its short film, but after watching this i feel it shouldn't be called a film because it simply doesn't not contain the structure of a film. if you get what i mean. but anyways it's good.
I know its short film, but after watching this i feel it shouldn't be called a film because it simply doesn't not contain the structure of a film. if you get what i mean.
There is no assigned stucture to film.
I liked it.. well done, pacing was okay *nod* The grain effect in the flash backs were a little too thick though. Also, try using words to solve your relationship problems, not guns. :P
Also, try using words to solve your relationship problems, not guns. :P
Yeah but do you honestly think recreating an episode of The Hills would be of any monetary value? The conflict would be in the woman's mind, and how she is having trouble dealing with what she just did. The rising action would be how the guilt of having to remember that event is crushing her, and the climax would be where she remembers shooting him and she can't take it anymore, and the resolution is that she kills herself. Or not kills, attempts suicide. the hospital thing at the beginning goes to show that she didn't actually die. ITS A TWIST!
I loved the camera panning. Lighting was great and you accomplished a movie feeling as planned. I'll give you an artistic.
I loved the camera panning. Lighting was great and you accomplished a movie feeling as planned. I'll give you an artistic.
Thanks :) What do you mean 'camera panning'?
Thanks :) What do you mean 'camera panning'?
you have been making movies for how long now?
Thanks :) What do you mean 'camera panning'?
So, you're basically studying general relativity and quantum physics without even knowing that 2 + 2 = 4 ? :v:
Best part of this was the camera angles and um... well, how do I say this... I like the sex pose. There I said it. [editline]11:30PM[/editline]
Thanks :) What do you mean 'camera panning'?
By camera panning I mean the way the camera moves from point to point. It looked good. I like the way the camera followed him as he went up stairs. One scene in particular I liked.

[editline]04:36AM[/editline] "in photography, panning refers to the horizontal movement or rotation of a still or video camera, or the scanning of a subject horizontally on video or a display device. Panning a camera results in a motion similar to that of someone shaking their head "no" or of an aircraft performing a yaw rotation." -Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panning_%28camera%29
By camera panning I mean the way the camera moves from point to point.
That's travelling / tracking, not panning  [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b7/AlamoFilming.jpg[/img_thumb]

First of all, Scout, calling me an idiot via PMs was incredibly low. It's not funny, either. I know what camera panning is, I just wanted to know what specific scenes he was especially happy with. And even when he answered my question, he got the term wrong himself, and that's why I asked it. I didn't ask "What do you mean by camera panning" as in "What's camera panning", I meant "What scenes used actual camera panning that you liked?" I feel like I have to be more thorough than I should be, because every time I make some kind of simple mistake some of you are like "OMGOMGOMG UR RONG LOLZGOZGLZOGZLGOZGL". I am well aware of what camera panning is, I did an entire semester on film last year.
Hmm. Travel tracking. Never heard of travel tracking. How do you travel track in GMOD?
Note the slash between the two words. That means both words can be used for referring to this type of movement, but not at the same time. :downs:

Being entertained is what these are about weather it's from commedy or drama. Yeah, the mood is thrown off by a few little things but over all it's good. I just want to know how you got the camera to move accordingly.
