Edit:
great film got it working
Well... erm... it's kinda boring and dark... but it's still good nonetheless.
Im wondering as to how you pulled this off. The video was amazing, facial expresions were superb along with everything else. I would like to know all the programs that went into play of making this video so i can make one that hopefully comes close to being as good as yours...
Thumbs up m8, nicely done.
Very nice video! Well done :)
Fantastic, absolutely the best I've seen.
That was truly amazing. So much work has been put into voice acting, posing, even facial expressions which is something that isn't very popular in the machinima world. Excellent work, I hope to see more by you.
Hey i posted a Question up above ^ can someone please answer it, thanks. To restate my question, What tools are used to make this and/or other videos like it.
I started to think about my life and where it's going after watching this.
The computers...
The procrastination...
The sex...
Is it worth it?
Great film, fucking mindblowing. You, my friend, deserve a medal.
The only part I didn't get was his corpse, I thought he was just tired. :v:
<3 Amazing
there is a movie that comes along and changes the way we look at video games, life, and many other things an i think this can be one of those movies
Kev: Sure, as long as you provide links to www.polygonfiction.com and my name.
I'm rendering the video into the best known quality format for youtube. after that, I'll be uploading it as one piece so no parts or episodes like that.
apparently someone has beaten me to this task but gave 0% credit to you but rather to himself.
flaming time anyone?
Edit:
can someone upload this to youtube?
I'm working on that.
Someone uploaded it to Dailymotion without mentioning my name and only introduced the film in French, that was an interesting one.
Kev, how is it you're able to upload more than 10 mins? Is it to do with how long you've been a member?
Also, d'you have a link to the uncredited ytube version you're talking about?
In fact, if anyone's seen coverage of the film I might not have, a link would be mighty useful.
Thanks all!
I think I saw a YouTube upload that was removed for Terms of Use. What pissed me off was that it labeled it a Garry's Mod movie...while I can imagine that very few scenes, if any, actually used Gmod at all.
Thankfully, the DailyMotion video links back to this thread, so I'd say as long as credit is being given it's not a big problem.
Oh yeah; WHO on Earth could not instantly get that he was dead? Think for one second about the line... "It needs to be something physical, violent, something with purpose. And it needs to start with the only extension we have left. Ourselves."
When I heard that much, I was stunned and thought I knew what he meant, but was just a little confused. Showing the grave immediately afterwards really put the final nail in the coffin.

The uploaded video full no cuts or episodes.

Update: I failed again to upload it. It seems as though Sony Vegas is not rendering the video properly. I'll do my best to solve this.
note: I have codecs.
Lit fuse needs competition. the more cometition, the better quality the movies will become. Also, i reckon that if he joined lit fuse, he would have to work for them, and probably work on projects for them. let him do his own thing.
I disagree. Although the camera work blew my mind and was easily the best I've ever seen, the storyline leaves a lot to be desired, and had me yawning from the beginning. Lit Fuse has some of the best writing I've seen so far, and decent camera work. With him, they would have excellent writing and insane camera work. They would be a force to reckon with.
As for working on Lit Fuse's projects, I would be surprised if your work wasn't good enough to have some sway in how things go around there.
that is the most impressive piece of art work I have ever seen!
So true
Teach me master.
Well, its official, according to Garry this is the best movie to be made using garry's mod so far, and he gives it praise on his blog.
http://www.garrysmod.com/
He din't really say that it was the best...
He said maybe the most visually stunning...
Very well done.
Incredible. A prime example of what the Source Engine is capable of.
Lorka - youtube has a 11 minute youtube max for regular users, not a 10. Some users who applied for a directors account way back when have the ability to upload videos without a set time limit but that's far and few these days since you can't apply for one anymore, you just select them. I still think this video was over 11 mins though (can't tell cause i'm in class right now)
Can someone please tell me what he used (as in programs) to make this video.
Good work! And very clean film quality!
I don't get it... Is the main theme in this video is that people spend too much time on technology and not out experiencing the world and how life can be short and meaningless if nothing is done to experience more than sitting at home than be outside? Anyways, VERY NICE VIDEO!!! If you are planning to make more, I suggest make a soap opera kind of thing. With monthly episodes, since I'm sure it took a long time to make. Again, very nice work and hope this inspires many more people to use facepunch as you have shown them.
Whoa! That was great!
Oh.
My.
God.
that was the best thing I have seen since anything!
