It would be far more logical to base gcombat on acf since acf is so much better. But doing that would be like going back in evolution,

My issue with ACF is that its locked to two servers and isn't allowed to be elsewhere, which implies that whomever is in charge is just as stuck up and selfish as all of the Freelancer server owners out there.
Until the ACF guys learn that communities get nowhere by hording things to themselves, I'll stick with GCombat. It might be dated, but I'd much rather use GCombat on the Bergenbuild than join another server just because its got some flashy new guns on it.

My issue with ACF is that people will take the code the minute it's released, add a bunch of shitty weapons to it, remove ammunition, and remove restrictions so they can put six 155mms on a plane made out of pipe cleaners and paper.

Actually yeah. At first I thought sticky had a very just and valid point; however [B]a part of using ACF is the ammo and how you use it[/B]. If you're the first to run out of ammo in a fight, you're much likely to lose. Therefore, by enhancing a weight limit to your stuff, another variable comes into play (weight as in resistance to stuff, One normal tank in comparison to a main battle tank, 30 tons aprox).
With more depending variables, it becomes alot, ALOT more advanced. I like that.

Or you can do what i do and put 1x 20k ammo 2x 120mm tank guns and 1x 30mm HE (For the lulz) on an 80k super heavy tank :P

Luv ACF. But Sax's and G3's servers are different ACF updates. Where is the new update so i dont see errors on the Sax's server wit hthe new weps.

Yep. We've moved on to ACF2 now, ACF1 is pretty much defunct.
I don't know who is hosting the SVN for it, but it's not us, and it's definitely old as fuck.
However, GCombat is superior in one respect. You can use it offline where your server won't crash because too many people joined.

Then 1000 versions would be released and alot of things would be altered. Will those who use it even be aware of the weight limits? And with so many different versions, you'd kinda need to keep an eye out for what each server is using, including weight limit rules and so on. By ignoring the rules it kinda becomes Gcombat. So in your case, just go use Gcombat, it seems to stimulate you enough...
