Anyone in here that uses a tablet have a recommendation for a beginner? So far everyone has said a Wacom Bamboo but I just wanted to ask again.

A bamboo will do fine. Get one of the cheaper ones, they're between $60 and $80. If you're good with it and you enjoy using it, it'll probably still serve you just fine.
I've been using a Graphire4 for the better part of the last 5 years.
