The Ladies of VALVe - a 2011 Calendar-Project by REH_BlackJack - Garry's Mod

[b]@Adstheratz:[/b] No. Nothing personal but this doesn't quite fit into the style, I chose for this project. I try to get a more serious tone, like those are movie actors, posing as their roles. [b]@all:[/b] Work on November is done by about 45%.

Almost all of the poses need work, their expressions look so dumb.

I love this idea! Looks promising so far. Couple thoughts, though: -Posing could be tightened up in places, particularly on Chell. -Alyx's shadow is all messed up. -There isn't enough focus on the characters, they kind of blend into the scene too much. The brightness and colour temperature is similar across all pictures, with the exceptions of May, July and October. Those ones are near-perfect, so try to apply the same technique to the others. Looking forward to your progress. :golfclap:

I'm aware that not everybody likes it the way I do it, be it After-Edits, Facial Expression or Posings in general. Most of 'em are personal opinions and it would be totally different if there were alot more people, bashing my project. Still, I'll keep 'em in mind. I don't think so.[/QUOTE] No, but I hardly doubt you ever looked at dozens of 'em or even created one: On January. you get used to look in the right corner for the date and the next month you suddenly have to look right in the middle of the picture for the date ? Quite dumb, don't you think ? :rolleyes: Most calendars with the date-block inside of the picture have a scheme. Either the block stays on one side or changes it's position in a certain pattern. This is made to avoid a kind of randomness that looks disturbing.

(Which kind of reminds me, that I forgot the creators of those models in the credits, crap. :doh:)
