I sneak into the thread to ask a frankly newb question: do you fine fellas have any tips on how to make beautiful facemaps? Even after four years of making half-arsed reskinnings, I still can't figure out for the life of me how to move beyond the crappy 2004 citizen faces. And yes, I realize this probably isn't the place to ask any questions, but still, I see enough good examples to risk the question.

And yes, I realize this probably isn't the place to ask any questions, but still, I see enough good examples to risk the question.[/QUOTE] practice practice practice make something with an idea in mind if you don like it try again and again and again use references from real life pictures or take pictures of your own face and use multiple angles or pull parts from other facemaps or even from other videogames' characaters facemaps like GTA or something YOU CAN ALSO draw parts from scratch i know Kuyler does it and he practices it and he gets really good at it

I can do beards and stuff like that, but I can't make decent-looking skin, I just don't know how to do it. Sure, I could just go rip off FakeFactory's textures as a basis, but I wanted to make something a little more independently.

Oh wow what a piss take, I've been on GMod for the past 3 hours, I come off it, GMod updates, I launch it, crashes before loading the Menu, next update, if it's fixed it I'm fucking setting it to not update, he keeps breaking it all the time and it's so annoying.
