In game, Using the special effects tool addon change the smoke to a grey transparent and just adjust the height then, bam cool mist effect.

I only liked all the magic guns and slender spess armor in the first game because it reminded me of star-trek
infact the entire first game when it came out had star trek vibes flying out the ass
then the game wanted to look all gritty dark, which I can't take seriously with the designs of the weapons and, well, everything
the future of war-fare will most likely look like Blacklight, or maybe halo, not guns that run on magic and have absolutely no sights. like the avenger for example. its like aiming a brick

ME1 actually did have a lot of Retro Sci-Fi themes put in on purpose, it was supposed to feel like a 70's or 80's high-budget science fiction movie. They dropped it around ME2, probably because they wanted it stand on its own terms of looks, for better or worse.
I do like Blacklight and Halo, just ME feels unique to me. Not that anything's wrong with the other games. :v:
Also, Avenger *had* a scope. I still have no clue why they took it off for the third game.
