testing a model hack i just finished. it's sorta based off a gun one of the criminals use in Dredd, i made it resemble how i thought it looked, so nothing is perfect.

I'd recommend one thing - change the character enough to not be instantly recogniseable as the first character.
The head is more important that clothes, as no matter how much you recolour those, as long as the head is an obvious give away it will always look like the guy who's the model.
It's good if people can make an associations with you and your model. The second option is picking a super obscure head most people wouldn't be able to place anyway. Keep in mind this is merely a recommendation, not a demand or anything.
