Just to reiterate since someone asked from the previous page. If you are just making a single image pose, you have to use in-game effects only, no image editting software at all. If you are making a comic, you can only use an image editor to create borders for the panels and for creating speech bubbles or sound effect cues. That is all you are allowed to do, you still have to use only in-game effects to do your lighting and other stuff. The reason why the comics get a pass on this is because comics look like shit without panel borders and you kind of have to edit in speech bubbles for it to actually be a comic. The reason why you're only allowed to use in-game effects for the image itself is because I'm trying to create a level playing field for those who aren't wizards with photoshop/gimp/whatever. It'd create a pretty one-sided competition if I let the proficient photoshoppers edit their stuff while the barely competent people get the short end of the stick in the editting department. For those of you who exclusively use photoshop or gimp to edit their images, consider this an extra challenge and a learning experience if you don't really know your way around the in-game engine to do effects and such. Oh and another note, if there's only like 2 or 3 entries for the contest by the deadline (Wednesday, Oct. 17th 2012) I'll be willing to give an extension because I'd really like to see more participants than just 3 people. Maybe I'll chip in for another prize or someone who's feeling generous can throw in an extra prize since not everyone wants the Planetside 2 Beta key. Just be warned if I'm the one paying for the prize, don't expect a $60 new release. Expect something closer to like $15 or less in value since I am a poor motherfucker. So if there was a particular DLC or Casual game you really wanted like Faster Than Light or Hearthfire DLC for Skyrim or some other shit like that, I might be willing to eat the cost for that, but you better make a goddamn masterpiece to get me to cough up cash for a prize because as previously stated, I am a poor bastard.
