When i use this my wheels spawn sideways when using wheel_model any way i can fix this?
there's degrees for certain axis. if you type wheel_x, y, or z (i think) it should auto complete. just fuck around with it.
I feel like an idiot, but I can't get a non-corrupt download.
there's degrees for certain axis. if you type wheel_x, y, or z (i think) it should auto complete. just fuck around with it.
thanks mate
there's degrees for certain axis. if you type wheel_x, y, or z (i think) it should auto complete. just fuck around with it.
You're my hero.
I feel like an idiot, but I can't get a non-corrupt download.
Don't blame yourself. It didn't work for me either. I had a friend to download it and send it to me. Maybe someone should upload to a mirror?
there's degrees for certain axis. if you type wheel_x, y, or z (i think) it should auto complete. just fuck around with it.
It just fixed itself for me though... I am god... /late
Can this be used against other props as a sort of tire-drive?
This makes me want to start playing gmod again
This makes me want to start playing gmod again
Yes please.
Is there even any purpose in using an engine now? You can just slap these wheels on and get crazy torque.
Can this be used against other props as a sort of tire-drive?
Yes, it has surprisingly much grip on other props.
Is there even any purpose in using an engine now? You can just slap these wheels on and get crazy torque.
Yes, this is even more incentive to the use of engines, because now you can't blame engine-related problems on wheel grip.
Can this be used against other props as a sort of tire-drive?
Tried this too. Wheel2 works smoothly against normal props and other wheel2 entities.
Would be interesting to see if this could somehow be implemented into gears
Lua wheels might make a nice "friction type CVT". Probably enough traction.
if you want traction control, all you have to do is e2 up an rpm comparison between two wheels and try to keep them even
Do "RPM = x +or- turnrate/somemultiplier" if you want to not spin out. It'll add or subtract RPM based on body speed, to make it drive nearly perfectly straight, have controlled turning...using that I can drive straight on ice. :eng101:
CVT's work sort of halfway.
So yeah anyway I made this tool: It makes the props you click on have the perfect sphere collision models just like lua wheel, but you can also right click to change radius and hit reload to reset the props. Works on all prop_physics and most gmod_* stuff (includes wire), just not thrusters or wheels (to prevent crashes). Couple known issues that I'm gonna sort sooner or later: - Constraints are removed from the prop - Using it on wheel entities (spawned with the wheel / wire wheel tool) causes crashes, so I made it not work on those entities - Thrusters don't work with this applied (also disabled the tool working on these)

And do we get a release?

Download link didn't work for a while, now it works again.
When I posted the download link wasn't there, so :fuckoff: Evac Kyle and Azur.
When I posted the download link wasn't there, so :fuckoff: Evac Kyle and Azur.
Mad bro?
Let's be nice, you guys. :gbsmith:
Just a small thing, can this be configured to be at mass centre? it would make the wheels more realistic...
It has grip. So does this mean I can make crawlers and make the front wheel climb up a wall?
It has grip. So does this mean I can make crawlers and make the front wheel climb up a wall?
Yes, though this is possible with regular wheels, too.
Just a small thing, can this be configured to be at mass centre? it would make the wheels more realistic...
I agree with this. Add options for usage of mass centre / bounding box centre. Also if the radius could be set with a console command that would be great.
Can you upload this somewhere other than filesmelt? I have Norton and it says FileSmelt is a malicious website.
Can you upload this somewhere other than filesmelt? I have Norton and it says FileSmelt is a malicious website.
just download the makespherical tool, it's an improved version of this.
