tbh that isn't really much of a tutorial, it just kind of shows you a pose and asks you to emulate it
And remember- When making a shooting pose, trigger fingers don't go all the way inside the trigger guard, only the tip of the finger should!

It DOES, however, give folks who aren't exactly clued in on gun handling an idea of how to have characters hold their weapon naturally. They likely already know how to pose ragdolls to hold guns, and now they know how to make them hold guns CORRECTLY. It's not so much a tutorial as a reference. :v:

those are some good references for gun-poses.
I would request an expansion for stances (footwork) and things like tactical shooting and environmental stuff (Close Quarter Shooting, Counter-Strike stuff is much different than open-street gang shootouts)
Just some ideas. Since, like...90% of this topic is people holding guns :P
Might be a good idea to have some reference material.
Tactical Shooting, Target Shooting, Civilian Shooting, Wounded shooting, Fatique, Running, etc.
I'm new to GMOD pics and posing and whatnot, but I have some experience with firearms, and I can pick out some nastiness pretty easily, yeah you can can make all the pretty lighting you want but if you're not really getting anywhere if your gun-fu is no good.

Who on earth would hold a weapon like that.
Any GI who holds a weapon like that will only get the task of shooting holes in the side of a German barn.
Atleast have him hold the foregrip or pistol grip(while having the rifle pointed at the ground obviously)

Is that supposed to be the battle of foy? If so here's some inaccuracies, the american G.I. in the photo should be 101st airborne, the Germans were actually in the town not on the outskirts so that body shouldn't be there also he lacks winter gear/paratrooper jacket & pants.
