It's not really my place. But may I suggest some sort of new subject matter?

Generally this topic is chocked full of Military stuff....it's a bit oversaturated IMO.

maybe some cool crossover stuff?

I have some plans once I get my new GMOD with everything I need. A series of crossover pics.
I want to do something with TF2 holding off zombies someplace and having Heavy (or a couple) hand-to-hand battling a Tank from L4D.

I'm not thrashing anyone's work, there's talent here, I'm just suggesting a broadening of the horizons.

Mix it up a bit, you guys obviously found a groove with military themed stuff, but so many of you guys all do it or a variant of it (lots of Blacklight/guys with guns/badass in space armour)

I'm all for originality, but I've only ever seen one good cross over pic in my life that was done by Urbanator if I recall. He made it work so well. The reason crossover pics don't work is because the models look out of place in the wrong element. Half Life 2 ragdolls on TF2 maps don't work at all and vice versa.

That is some good stuff, aye.

Crossover...barring the jarring juxtaposition of different art styles. TF2 or other "cartoony" styles. That's understandable.

But I believe if given enough time, even those could look "good".

If you have a dog fight between planes and dragons, Nazis riding dinosaurs, Big Daddies taking on Tanks or Necromorphs, Batman fighting Ryu Hayabusa led Argonian Ninjas on a rooftop somewhere...

All this effort and talent seems wasted on generating Modern Warfare Fan Art. GMOD has endless creativity and possibilities...you just have to try...

Post Processing and Photoshop wankery be damned...

Be Original and Have Fun. There's only so many poses with guns with various grit and grain filters one can stomach in a lifetime.

I'm pleading for something more...
