Assuming the shotgun in Half Life 2 is a perfect representation of shotguns IRL. Which they're not. I've spent a bit on the range, and the vast majority on the time there is no flash.

Currently none of the BL:R guns have been ported, i'd recommend modern or BF2142 guns to use with them.
Just some practice and a silly one.

Trust me, I know a bit about firearms myself. If I was any good at GIMP I'd get the powder escaping the barrel rather than the bright ass muzzle flash.
