Well, it's your space wasted, do what you want, I'm just saying that if you want to work with something the smartest thing is learning how to make it look good without humongous sizes

I am doing exactly that, when there's something to draw your eyes away from the pixelation it's much less apparent and I love being overdramatic with my textures. And I think blood leaking out of a helmet makes perfect sense if you've been taking a beating physically (not gunshots, but physical impacts), like how the "good" dramatic boxing matches always end up with someone bleeding out of somewhere. Even if it doesn't make sense I think it looks good and since it's just a character not doing much of anything I feel like aesthetics can take priority. I mean really the character is bleeding from all the places.

I'm having a helluva time wasting it hahaha. And why be smart when you can be 4096 ;) Honestly I think they looked good enough at 1024 if you aren't doing macro shots or something.
in all honesty those still look pretty default, minus the blood and random stuff
and there is also quite a bit of low res stuff on the shoulders and upper arms

And what could one possibly do that isn't 'default'? Well if she's bleeding so heavily that it's leaking out of the helmet, wouldn't she drown in her own blood or die of blood loss?, I really like the rest of it except the blood dripping from under the visor looks a bit odd.

As a korean, I am really sick of that song.
The most depressing part about GMOD these days is how sexy all of the ragdolls are yet how shit a lot of the scenery is. Things like the ungodly low-res textures on that rock-piece in front of them in the last pose make me sad inside.
Oh man.. what I'd give for some better detailed destroyed walls and rock models...
if we could somehow port full maps from non-Source games, that'd more than make up for the massive difference in quality between our models and our maps. but that's impossible, or it is for now.

Someone once posted pictures of a plugin they were making that could worked like dx ripper and could rip geometry from any game and then turn that into .vmf's, but they were never heard from again after that post.
