I am not quite sure if the model is badly made or you have a very low graphic setting.
Those models are from the cutscenes from WiC, probably the best late Cold War American soldier models at the moment.
It's been a while since I've posed something so I decided to do a little scenebuild. I thought it turned out fairly nice except for the Stg-44 clipping through his strap.
