If it crashes the game, turn off multicore rendering. It's in the title of the thread.

It wasn't crashing, and when I rendered it, it removed the DOF effect

You press the little button on the bottom that says "5" and it gets rid of the gui. That's when you take the picture. If you just close the gui, it removes the effect. The idea is you set up the scene, put up a camera and then render the super dof and take the picture.

Then it starts to actually render the scene instead of previewing it. Depending on your computer's speed you're going to have to wait a few seconds to a few minutes. And you don't have to press 5, you can just click "take screenshot" and it automatically hides the window to take the screenshot and then restores it.
