Literally the only thing that you cannot pay for with ingame money is different bodyparts for your mech, which have no inpact on the gameplay at all and are purely aesthetic.
And while it's true you can buy new weapons and items and whatnot with real cash they don't sell anything (as far as I noticed) that you can't buy with ingame cash. Not to mention that it doesn't really matter because I often take it up against people who have different mechs and are much higher level and I still do fine.
