Can someone add a Little bit of smoke out of the tank barrel, the remnisct of an explosion about a few feet from the close falling trooper, add a bit of Muzzle Flash from the gunship and make it a bit... Grittier?

Can anyone make the shadows look better?
Did you try tweaking the settings in game first?
I tried some commands but after all it all looked shitty and I decided to get back to default, any tips?
There was a tutorial I'm sure someone can find for you. I personally use default shadows so I wouldn't know haha.

well, there goes the rest of my sunday.
If you view the image in a new window, there's spaces of white where the image has been stitched together, I think. Perhaps just stitched in paint/photoshop. Most likely paint as indicated by the origin of the picture uploader, picturewars.net, which is a community that uses paint for their editing.
Then again, I could be completely wrong.
Someone can edit this however they see fit and think it will look better.

Don't use black for shading. Use darker shades of the color it's going over.
dats not reeeeeeeally strictly true and doesn't matter too much for editing gmod pictures anyway
the reason the edited-in shadows in this picture look weird is because the in-game shadows that were already there have been over-exposed and washed-out by the editing
It looks really bright and flat. You really overbrightened it. But this can be fixed, I think. I could do it myself, but I kinda haven't my computer atm.
