Huh. I heard somewhere that there were guns in Ancient Greece...primitive ones, not wideley used, but guns nonetheless...
I doubt it. Most people accept that the discovery of gunpowder was in 9th century China. The first gunpowder-based projectile weapon was probably the "Fire lance"; basically a long spear that could set off a charge in its tip, spraying fire and launching a small projectile. The range was very limited though, so the lance was still a melee weapon, just one that gave its wielder that extra edge in close-combat. It was probably first used in 10th century China.

Must be history channel doing its work. Too bad China became so weak in the 19th century

Eh, it works for the purposes of the image. Of course, a nicer choice of environment would score you extra points.
Bump to keep the contest alive.
The due date is this Saturday, folks! If you've got 'em bring em' in before then!
Just end it so I can win.

Currently I'm working on new fantasy picture "Two Heroes of Might and Magic - Part 2".
I think it will be too late for this thread when it's done, I will make my own thread :)

Oh well. You could have possibly won a custom prop. :D
Bump to remind everyone that there's only three days left to submit. If you've got an idea, and are thinking about posting it, post it now, dagnabit!
Sorry I forgot to post my entry:

Isnt that an old pic? I swear ive seen it before somewhere...
Who won then?
I'll go over the entries tonight. Right now I've got some work to do, so if anyone wants to squeeze in a last-minnute entry within the next 6-7 hours of so, they're free to do so.
And the Winner is... Exorade!

I really loved the way your picture turned out. The originality and effort is on a level I usually don't see around here that often.
You win a custom prop. I'm going to model it and Nexus_Elite has agreed to compile it. So, what would you like?
I think the girl's clothing doesn't fit in.
Cinderella had a blue dress:)
Congratulations Exorade. Tatataaa
That picture was good but ChestyMcGee's is better
That picture was good but ChestyMcGee's is better
Agreed. He should have at least the second place.
Justice is lost, raped, gone.
Even though Chesty's pic was amazing, the rules stated clearly a fantasy theme. Hi-tec armour and weapons is not fantasy as I think Ryu-Gi intended it.
All though I admit as a judge, I would have had a hard time dismissing Chesty's contribution. One of the better fight scenes I've seen.
I think the girl's clothing doesn't fit in.
Well, there aren't really many female models fitting for that kinda setting. But it could be backed up if the girl had been "displaced" from the future into that medieval era, which would probably explain why the knights are searching for her, under suspicions of apparent "witchcraft".
All in all, it's a cool picture, and the only flaw present can be covered up by using imagination. 9 out of 10.

Well thanks for the honors.
Don't really mind winning anything but since you ensist, what are the constraints for the prop?
Can't it be a headhack, something the size of a vehicle :P or just a headgear?

Sorry for taking a week to respond, I was banned. D:
Something simple preferably, if you want something, like say, a character, it'll take longer.
you should knit him a sweater.
Do you know what kind of custom prop you want , Exorade?

Not just any hat.
I want the Robin Hood hat in the picture.
