I blame the maggot who whined for a duplication, it took me a couple o' hours to make it and refine the design. Job done.

How is it vital? It's a damned expression, the community can live without a few more mechs.
You guys are seriously missing the point if you thought the purpose behind any of my e2s was to encourage people to make mechs of any size or variety.
I want people to learn how to use e2 effectively, and to learn how to apply some of the knowledge I'm giving out to complete certain tasks. Most people didn't do that, they just used the damn e2s to make crappy mechs that looked exactly like the tutorial.
Techni on Wiremod did his own chip. Wenli on Wiremod did his own chip. Ruadhan from Unsmart's server made his own. Mopazados made the drunk combine. Whoever did the i-Walk made his own chip. Lyinginbedmon [i]tried[/i] to do his own chip. Whether or not I had a hand in influencing any of those people is moot, I expected more people to figure out solutions to the walking problem by now.
It was a learning exercise, and despite a year and a half, being flat-out given the tools, offered occasional upgrades, offered tutorials and lengthy explanations to whoever would listen, I can count the number of people who I know personally took the e2 and did amazing things with it on one hand.
I don't care about the contraptions at all, they're an end product.
Seriously, if I had half a brain, I wouldn't have given it out in the first place.

Understandable decision man, it would really have been a different matter if this was like a lua script or somethng, but considering it's an Expression 2 - your frustration at people not learning anything from it is definitely reasonable. I my self may never have built a mech, but either way thanks for the past year and a half and all the hardwork involved.
Sestze, your contribution to the community is both understated and appreciated. I'm disappointed, both for loss of the resources you provide and for other reasons, although I understand your reasoning, and wish to thank you for offering it to us. I'm tried to learn it myself (the elastic simulator chip you gave me--last night I FINALLY made my own version, 100% mine new code, so one of my major projects, simulating real world suspension components with applyforce, is almost complete--just gotta tweak the dampening systems) There are many who just go "hurr a chip" and don't attempt to learn, but there are those who do learn, who study, and who adapt the knowledge. I want to thank you, and say I'm sorry to see you feel this way.

I understand as well. If I were to release something and have endless questions asking for dupes or fixes or knock-offs or anything of that sort, I'd snap as well. I'd actually snap much faster than you did, and I'm amazed at how long you've withstood. If it makes you feel any better, I learned a lot from looking at your code, especially in timers. Sorry you're stopping/leaving, but I fully understand why.
I've never actually used your mech leg e2's, simply because I dont give a fuck about mechs.
