But there's a lot more to it than that. Sestze was doing amazing things, and even more amazingly, he was releasing them. People started being dumb-asses and making cheap knockoffs using his chips and claiming credit. Others would ask and whine for dupes when all they needed to do was axis six props together. Others would bombard him with questions. The list goes on and on. It has been for the longest time, and he finally snapped.
Regardless of whether or not he's raging, deleting all his youtube videos is kind of a dickish move. He could conceivably still show off the awesome things he makes, instead of becoming some kind of angry hermit.

You're way off, bud. He did the community favor after favor. From what I can tell, expecting him to contribute something just because he's more than capable is probably a good part of why he regrets sharing his work. A lot of people don't have the ability to even realize what goes into creating the things he did and completely take it for granted. If someone gives you examples and tries to show you the possibilities, you should take it upon yourself to do the work and try learning something instead of expecting other people to do the work for you. This is exactly why I don't release anything. If someone has questions about something and shows that they have put effort into it, then I have no problem throwing out some code to set them in the right direction. But I wouldn't drop anything on someone that has no idea what it does or how it works. I'm not saying Sestze was wrong though, I would probably want to show that shit off too.
I'm not saying he has to share his chips or anything. I rarely do that myself, and that's totally his perogative. It's just that pulling EVERYTHING, even the non-mech related videos, seems a bit over-the-edge. When my non-gmod friends would ask me what was so special about this game, Sestze's vids were a great demonstration.
Showing the community the excellent things you have made is not the same thing as bending over backwards trying to show newbs how to build those things. The analogy that comes to mind is a painter who burns all of his canvases because he couldn't teach someone to paint-by-numbers.
If anything I think sestze should restore his videos, if not even for us, but for himself. With all the effort he put into his creations, it makes me feel that this was more a knee-jerk reaction than anything.

Sad, this code was one of the first E2s I really worked with, it lead to me making my first, it was basic as hell, but mine entirely. Only thing I miss is that I will never get to try the more-than-two-leg chip.

It's unfortunate, but alas, I think he's annoyed to the point he doesn't want to deal with most people anymore. I did learn a good bit of E2 though from the chips posted, to where I actually have made a prototype helicopter chip that runs off applyforce alone, if it helps. Granted it's kinda buggy (understatement), but I did learn a good bit. His choice to pull everything is understandable though. I think the fact I learned from the chips mean that it was a success, albeit a small one.
In any case, best of luck in the future to you Sestze.
