Thanks man. Any pointers on what adv ball socket settings to use for the torso?
I figured out how to use the chip, but I'm a bit confused as to how I would get a gun or whatever to aim with the mechwarrior chip. I have the movement worked out and the horizontal movement, just not vertical with the gun. Wire the Y on the eyepod to the gun or something? Or would I just need to use another mouse-aim chip for this?
Vertical component is represented by Y input on the mechwarrior chip. Use a ballsocket between the torso and the hip. If you're feeling especially fresh, you can use two axes with an intermediate prop. It's handled by the chip itself.
Yeah, that seems to work fine, only one minor issue persists if I do that: Jumping seems to be unable to want to work for whatever reason, as in it starts leaning and not getting off the ground. Maybe I need to tweak the ballsockets a bit? EDIT: I think I found the problem. Doing a ballsocket between the torso and intermediate prop with "Free movement" unchecked seems to have an adverse effect on it. No idea why. And slave ballsockets for the feet to hip seem to cause a problem too.
I am not sure if i can suggest ideas but i was wondering if u can make a walking chip that had 2 different booster buttons that allows the mech to boost up and boost any direction without leaving the ground like in the game of Armored Core http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zShlLVzz-k

Also kickasskyle made one that has energy consumption when boosting.
I'm wondering if sestze will ever release info on using applyforce for suspensions...I've tried it but it just failed miserably. Love the av btw, sestze.
I saw you sent new videos on youtube. Could you add new tutorial?
Yeah I guess.
where is the E2 at i cant find it anymore
here
<derp>
yeah it probably was a stupid post :)
armoured core style boosters ftw , i remember seeing em once.. ages ago :<
I'll try to help if you drop by the GGG servers.
setsze your mech designs and e2 chips are very helpful so i have come here to ask for a few tips to point me in the right direction. ive built a small mech using your hip biased chip and t works great the problem is that when it walks it shakes from side to side violently as if its spazzing out. also it seems to dislike stopping. how would i combat this so far ive tried: *adjusting the weight(heavier) *making it anti grav on some props it did not go well at all :0 if i could get a tip or two that would be great as im new to the mech building game
I think you're late man
Im sorry for being dumb, but can i get a link to this chip?
Im sorry for being dumb, but can i get a link to this chip?
not sure if this is the one they are talking about but this is the one im useing. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1057850 i made an 8 leged spider mech and its orking great a lil sketchy when walking but i working out the bugs. the only problem with it is that u want to lower the torso and hip "KU multipliers" or it will spazz out the chip has instructions in it but just experiment with trial and error. good luck, msg me and ill give u more info and tricks i figure out. if u are still paying atention 6 months later.
