Full settings? usually they're way above the regular settings with dampening / relative dampening...
I tried putting way more elastics on it but nah- I started making an oval racer like in Nascar, but the body is almost between the wheels so.. got to re-do it, make it taller.

Which is shit cause aesthetically they are the suck max
though good for engine car.... bout it, plus a nice wheel radius helps with the shitty rpm limit

OK.. First off...

Secondly, you could build the physical for the suspension as big as you need.. Make the props invisible and set the elastic width to 0.. Its a cheat but sometimes it can't be avoided. Also The elastic settings SHOULD be well above the standard dampning. I like 40000C , 2000D, 1000RD.

How is that a cheat?

Better than boring European races e__e
Anyway... I already fixed it and junk, I don't need any more durr hurr about elastic strength.
XD I parented different body pieces to a bunch of plates covering the edges of the frame and force welded them to it- If you smash into something depending on the location, parts fly off =P It's nawyc for crashes.
Someone just needs to make a banked oval track so we can have an awesome race instead of flat ground shit

So you're actually saying that your redneck hillbilly hick shit "sport" driving 200 laps at 200 mph around an oval track is more fun than seeing some car that actually works and can handle corners. I mean it's not just the fucking cars either. The only pics you provided were of cars crashing. Therefor the only time nascar is entertaining is when the drivers fail at driving round an oval track. That just seams like, "well the cars don't really work, cause they can't handle the simplest task. And the drivers are rednecks that can't really drive either..." I'd watch formula 1, WRC or even fucking gokart before I'd sit down and chew threw a nascar race.
Suspensions

im from america too, and nascar sucks balls
most boring thing ever
much rather watch euro touring car racing or something like that
Here..
I would like to quote... "KANGAROO IN THE RADIATOR"
I dont care how many years you watch nascar.. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!

"like in nascar"....
I'll try not to pick such an offensive topic again.
Nascar does suck, I just look at the wrecks- WRC is way more awesome, but rally cars= meh. Performance is great, but no special looking thing in gmod- when all cars are pretty much made best as possible anyway.
I agree, Nascar is way too much redneck, and not enough customized demolition derby armored racecars smashing the crap out of each other while racing.
But a flat gmod racetrack IS kinda boring.. A banked racetrack would be great in multiplayer- Is that even possible to make a map with a smooth bank like that?
[editline]09:11PM[/editline]
We can even have kangaroos run across the track if you really want
Maybe a polar bear or two

that'd probably take me about 2 minutes to knock up in hammer. But I wont cause that would be a waste of 2 minutes. I'm making some gay onslaught map atm so I can't be arsed to make some racing map. I'll make a low friction rally course when I'm done with this map though.
Also, whatever this thread was about, its awesome, make other material, cccccc

You have to press ALT + F4 to get the rest

And if that works hold the power button on your computer for a couple of seconds.
On-topic:
I use this suspension all the time now :D
It's really awesome and simple to make

none of the offroad or racewheels sink.
Ah ya, thanks for this tutorial! I made sure to include your Ballsocket technique in my suspension tutorial as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTnqzUG1vp0&feature=player_profilepage

So many people have tried making realistic suspensions only to have the front wheels flop around like crazy i hope this will help out.
Hi man, btw do u know the name of this map, so i can use it instead of loading gm_construct/flatgrass and making prop obstacles for testing my suspension designs

Not bad, but it annoys me the way you pronounce your "S"'s though. I don't know why.
