Agree, there's nothing wrong with her. She's quite a good companion when you're playing the games, and I rather enjoyed her company.
Rochelle and Zoey, on the other hand...
Personally, I didn't think she was all that attractive (especially the hair), but as a character, she was kind of the foil for Gordon through Episode 1+2, seeing as Gordon doesn't say anything.
I mean, her personality kind of made up for her weird hair.
She totally blows Rochelle and Zoey out of the water. It's like comparing Ellen Ripley to Princess Leia. Sure, Ripley isn't as beautiful as Princess Leia, but I didn't see Princess Leia wielding a flamethrower and a robot forklift.
Basically, Alyx is just more badass than either of them.
