The scene is brilliant, good work!
Someone needs to make a Xen map. Theses pictures would look great(er) if they were on Xen.
There is a HL2 Mod named Eclipse, which got alot of nice props that look Xenish.
Like glowing mushrooms and weird shit like that, also some glowing stones that would look really neat.
You should look for it Ben :)
I was expectiong to see something like
OMNOMNOM
Your poses continue to inspire and instill faith in even the lowest of us.
You seem to do alot of work around the mythology of vortigaunts, have you ever considered a comic?

I have actually. With the positive replies that this series of pictures has gotten, along with the writing, I could possibly make a comic. It wouldn't be a traditional comic either. It would be more like a picture book. That way I can go deeper into describing the world without the limitations of GMod. Not to mention that it would/could start off like a documentry type story at first. Then as the it comes up to date, we then get into the actual story and events leading up to the Resonance Cascade.

Eclipse eh? Because the last Xen suggestion was kind of disappointing (no offense to the user who suggested it) because it used HL1 textures and HL2 effects and characters.
I will look into Eclipse.

In the mythology that I have created, I divided Xen up into district like areas. There's Northern Xen, Southern Xen, Eastern Xen, Western Xen, and Central Xen. I also have thought of it as Central Xen is a major Vortigaunt city and the epitamy of their industry, run of course by the Nihilanth. So far the story takes place mostly in I think Southern Xen because The Thoopnik Wars are at a close (Which is all explained within the writing)
Woah.
Did you edit the vortigaunt so he looks High-Res or is it the model itself?
Your Vortigaunt pictures are lovely.
That's why I love making these pictures, the Vortigaunts from Episode 2 are so high-def compared to what they were in Half-Life 2 and Episode 1. Not to mention that with two different types of Vortigaunts, it leaves me open to think of why they are like that. For instance, Episode 2's Vorts are young and youthful because they've been out in the wilderness and more into their element, but the Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Vorts are shriveled and weak, possibly from over working and exhaistion brought on by The Combine.
Glad people enjoy these pictures so much. I enjoy making them, mainly because Vortigaunts aren't often used... that well.
I've had this angle/pose in my folder since the The Epiphany of Celesticu Fortifar picture. Out of boredom and practice I edited it. Nothing special. I am also practicing with tattoos again on other pictures.
