The re-skin is looking good so far, only thing I'd suggest is hacking a non-covered face to give it more personality, right now it looks like it should be a soldier in your personal faction or something.

Ok, anyone here ever ported or hacked a model, and then have the finger flexes move the opposite direction of what they're supposed to when you get the model in-game and use the finger poser?
Because that's sort of the reason I've been scarce lately. I've been working on this side project in my free-time, and I can't seem to fix this one problem- which is pretty much the only thing keeping me from finishing it -and it's driving me mad. MAD I TELL YOU.
Anyway, anyone have any idea why? I tried posting in the modelling forum, but a grand total of 0 people have provided any input over there so far.

Oh, and I forgot to mention: it only happens on one of the two hands. The left hand works fine, but it's the right hand where the fingers are working wayyyyy wrong. Not sure if that affects anything in your hypothesis.

As soon as I can figure out how to fix his backwards fingers. It's driving me batshit crazy for a week now. I've been able to solve every other problem I've run into so far with flailing my way through learning porting, but this one is still stumping me.
I have a three-day weekend coming up, so I'm going to have this ready to go by the end of it if I have to kidnap a modeler and hold them hostage in my basement until they tell me their secrets.

I could send you it as is after I get back from work tonight. As long as you don't try to pose the right hand's fingers in anything too elaborate, it should be fine.
Besides, it'd be nice to get someone else to pose it and get a fresh set of eyes on it, to make sure I didn't mess up anything else. I only have just over a week left on my 3dsMax trial (at least, of the version I've been using) and I want to finish this port up before then (yes, I could just get a cracked copy, but I'm a law abiding pussy).
After that, I guess I'll just have to figure out Blender.

Oh hey, I forgot that tool exists. Never used it before.
I'll have to get that a try later. Still will be working on fixing those fingers though, just because I hate when things don't work the way they're supposed to and I can be an obsessive fucker when it comes to troubleshooting.
Watching Filth, that movie with James McAvoy in it. It's very powerful and dark, if you've seen trainspotting, it was written by Irvine Welsh, the same guy who wrote Filth.
