Played Last Man on Earth (in this case last Alien on earth) for the first time two days ago, and well...it was interesting and frustrating at the same time. (yes that's my Turian personal skin, I still use it ^^)

What do you mean by rage?
Also what Last Man on Earth is, is a "mutation" game mode. It has you pick a level from the campaign and play through all the stages with the character you chose. BUT you're by your lonesome, there are zero common infected and only Special Infected minus the boomers.
You're allowed to utilize tier 2 ranged and melee weapons, Molotov Cocktails, Pills, Adrenaline Shots, and the decent supply of Medical Kits scattered around the stage "like normal".
There is however a catch: If you get incapacitated once, you'll "self-revive" and be in black-and-white status (meaning you go down once more and you're dead as a door nail); unless you happen to heal up using a med kit so you're no longer black and white. So if you suddenly find yourself lacking in Medikits, as Keira Stokes stated, "You get incapacitated twice, you're dead; stay alert."
You'll want to stay alert because the Special infected will attack you in squads of two or three. If not twos and threes, then they will assault you about 2 seconds after each other. Also the Witches are in some of the most annoying spots ever imagined and they WILL instant kill you no matter what; also the Tank will barely appear, but when he does make sure you have ammo or you're dead.
The smoker will sneak up on you like Sam fisher, and the Charger will beat your face in like Duke Nukem without warning.
Last Man on Earth is pretty cool, just be prepared to be frustrated a few times. I beat Dead Center with 9 restarts primarily because of the finale with the gas canisters. But it is oh-so-satisfying when you beat all the stages.
