Ok now I'm down right confused. Why are people talking about anime and waifus like it has flooded the thread? There was like 2 pictures, a song, and a joke about anime and people are worried about it overtaking the thread like a virus. And now we're fighting about it. What the fuck people?

And quite a lot of the past content was borderline uh creepy containing them. @mr95 - didn't notice starbound being a money grab actually. They seem to still be working on it and actively updating, unlike say cortex command

Cortex Command was being sparsley updated but they've even announced recently that they're going to start doing it more frequently, and packed that annoucement with an update that made combat way more fun. Main difference here is that the lead artist for Cortex Command had a nerve condition in his hand a while back, making drawing next to impossible for him, as to while Tiy is just " don't worry it's soon :) " [img]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20446371/downloads%20and%20writing/1401017313000.png[/img] and this too don't forget about this

If it was the first one and worded a bit better, I would probably make a standard answer of - stuff is being worked on just behind the scenes atm. A question worded like this, and probably not the first of it's kind is probably more annoying to the devs who may actually be wording on stuff.

Knock cortex command all you want but at least they didn't want at the very least half a million just to make an alpha of the game, then go silent and not answer their community in the slightest.

Many of the answers are semi public (we're still working on new stuff, stay tuned) but the amount of vitriol in the question rises. Sooner or later three things can happen - a) you either stop responding to the queries b) you delete the queries to prevent spam storms c) someone on your team snaps. Often enough a combination of all 3 happen, most of all with indie devs. EDIT Also crowd funding is not asking for investors in the game dev environment. It's asking for early buyers of your product which is a completely different concept.
