So I decided that it was that time of year again where I'd try and make myself a perskin, fail miserably, get frustrated, and uninstall gmod forever. yeah, I couldn't even get studiomdl to work

Right now, all of the SDKs except for L4D\2 are broken... so that'd be why it didn't even work. For most of us, Model Viewer either won't start or simply won't render anything.

I figured that was what the problem was. My HDD crashed recently so I lost all my hacks and fixes and stuff. Did steampipe actually help anyone because all it did was set me back :v:

Other than an FPS boost, it just takes up more space than it had when Valve used GCFs instead of VPKs.

When I reinstalled SDK the files were in steamapps/common which is new. I found the studiomdl.exe but I can't really figure out how to use it. I still can't open Model Viewer with EP1 anyway so as far as I can see it's still broken on my end. Maybe I'm just technologically illiterate. That's probably the case. edit: just found out about source SDK 2013 in the tools menu lol. I feel stupid. I'll try it out and see if I can get it to work on that.
