All these new people wearing suits...
All these new people wearing suits...
I think it's a good standard to come into the thread with,
just a basic headhack and a simple suit.
Then again, I might just be saying that to not be wearing a skirt anymore.
*grumbles about my tunic*

mrs. claus just aint what she used to be
I swear every time I load up Garry's Mod for a decent pose idea, the moment I start on it gets fizzled in my head.
I hate when that happens.
Happens to me daily.

Upgrade your christmas package from the SantaSlowboat to BabyJ speedsters and get your Christmas gifts already on the evening of the 24th.
I dunno, the Hawaiians seem to know what's up.

Is there a way to get the non-ghosty look of $alphatest with the quality of $translucent? Hair and eyelashes are being a bitch.
[editline]not today[/editline]
I have no pictures to give :(
But know that I'm working on the next version, question above related.
First, make sure your hair mesh is currently single-sided -- the normals should all be facing outward (meaning it is only visible from the outside), and the interior should be invisible.
Assign that to a material named as "hair_trans" (or anything, just add "_trans" to it).
Now select all of the hair mesh's faces, duplicate them, and then reverse the normals. Assign this to a new material named "hair_alpha".
Export.
When you modify your VMTs, they should appear as follows:
"hair_trans" will have $translucent 1
"hair_alpha" will have $alphatest 1 and $nocull 1
The result will be that "hair_trans", of which only the external side is visible, will have nice, soft edges, while "hair_alpha" -- the internal set of faces -- will allow the hair to cast proper dynamic shadows and nullify $translucent's see-through effect.
You can do the same with eyelashes, but generally I give them their own material (typically "eyelashes"), and use $translucent 1 and $nocull 1; unless you plan on doing some seriously intense profile shots and you absolutely need eyelash shadows, that'll be fine.
Who here can port from GTA IV?
Because if you can, you can port this http://www.gtaall.com/en/gta-4/cars/23503-toyota-sprinter-trueno-gt-1985-apex-epm.html for me and give it to me as a Christmas present ~
So since i'll be gone during the day AND since swedes celebrate christmas on the 24th i'll just leave this here:

So yeah, merry x-mas! :)
[SP]Especially to FT, whom have worked 24/7 keeping this thread happy with his ranbows.[/SP]
You spelt "gaybows" wrong.
I love MLC's pose.
He's just laying there as if to say "Ladies?"

Edit:
Also, Merry Christmas.
