Nifty, I actually like the rain edit better, the other has a bit less atmosphere. What's that head from, out of curiosity.
I like the rain edit too, but maybe you should erase some to bring out the details more.

The lighting's pretty sweet.
Not bad. The jpeg quality looks pretty sketchy though.
I think "awaits" is generally transitive so it should really be used with a conjunction at all times (I think), so it would be better if it was just "As he waits"

what's bothering me is the light in the background can somehow light up the logs
