The good news is that Gmod at least starts now, the bad is that I can't seem to load any maps.
The only maps working are the gmod ones (gm_flatgrass and construct), and I can't spawn custom models.

Maybe there was an engine update? I don't keep track of Gmod news much anymore.
Have you tried redownloading critical stuff?

For me, it's a waiting game. I have to do something else while it seems to look like it's freezing up. Then I come back to the computer and find that the map is loaded.
Just what the FUCK did the update do to mess GMOD up so badly? I hope they fix it soon.

Anyways, if your maps are doing that, maybe something in your critical files is corrupt. Go check it out.

We all know how you feel one day or another...
But I had to fucking reinstall all of steam, lose all my progress on Hitman 1 and 2, Cod4 single and Mutli, Gmod, portal, and so much other shit it pisses me off just remembering.
Hope you don't have to go through anything like THAT.
