I don't know why I posted all of this. I have never seen a successful competition in the contraption subforum. It could be that everyone's gunshy, shit's poorly organized, or some other reason I haven't covered. It's somewhat depressing.
I have to pretty much agree.
Blame it on the Boogie
Shame this didn't get off to a good start, wood wars was the shit before GC happened.
New contest + vanilla tools + cool dudes judging = Entries and 05/06er nostalgigasm, but it'd be cool to see a fusion of new gmod tech and old school crate tanks; maybe two sets?
wood wars was all i did. would be really nice to have a battle. il build a tank when i have the time and would love to battle someone.
Im in, i will never forget Yarx's woodenwars server back in gmod 6/7, wood wars was my passion for years.

Hm.. Sounds like a good idea actually.

I remember those crate tanks! Ah, thanks for the nostalgia! If someone remade that contest I would drop everything I'm working on now and join it.
Yeah me too, I'd do it myself but I've got no experience in contests so the rules would probably be bs, and I lurk more than I should. Definitely going to put a tank or something in if a good comp kicks off though.
I have my doubts about turrets tbh, back in the day we used bricks, 'kinetic missiles' which were just really fast wood boards or propane rockets. Making people devise their own ammo really helped creativity.
