Hahaha. Saw it on wiremod yesterday, when I saw it here I thought "Oh boy, they are gonna flip!"
How long did it take?
Can't wait for the coaster cars E2. My cars keep flying off the track. :P

You sir, are a motherfucking genius.
I've never seen such creative use of vanilla props to make scenery in my entire time in Gmod.
very good job
I came, I saw, I watched, I cam again, but in a different way. Thats sick, it sounds nice, looks realistic, amazing enivornment as well. Hope to see more stuff like this.
Bull has released the improved code for the carts over at wiremod.com http://www.wiremod.com/forum/finished-contraptions/21627-scenic-roller-coaster-800-props-video-code-released-5.html#post206189
Very good job. That must have taken a long time and loads of dedication with tedious work. You paid nice attention to detail and in certain areas you knew when and how you should angle the coaster for most enjoyment. 5/5

that's fucking amazing. gold sta- oh wait
Holy.. fuck! @_@
Very very pretty and I love the track maker! But using the E2 to read the track then plot out a path where you could remove the track entirely and it would still run it, defeat the purpose of working in a physics based engine to build a roller coaster?

Feel free to look at "my" 2 previous roller coaster videos that were made with physics, they are wobbly, jerky and move at a constant speed (and that's on the simpler monorail track). So, one way or the other, we figured the actual ride was more important than trying to "stay true to gmod". EDIT: Also, being able to remove the track is just an optimization, so we won't have to map the track ahead in real-time, it could very much be done, but unnecessary.
Amazing.
Could you tell us the names of the 2 props you used for the scenery, can't seem to find them.
Aaaaanddd it's back, Those are some HL2:EP2 rocks. Just search rock.
Mmmm hhhhmm. Gotta love that month old thread.
lol. agreed.
Oh one of these threads
Oh one of these threads
what do you mean? this is different from other roller coaster threads, as this one is actually really good
This is the type of shit I come to the Contraptions section for. Good fucking work man, I love the effort you put into it.
Looks pretty awesome, haven't seen this level of detail since Desmerins Garden.
This is what rollercoasters should really be like; a good duration for once and some amazing scenery.
