Name: Crusader Brigade
Location: The United States, Texas, North East Territory
Capital City: Dallas, Texas
Lore: Ever since the war broke out throughout the world, cities have been devastated, towns have been eradciated, but the city of Dallas has thankfully survived.
Barely, the survivors of Dallas had scavaged for food, supplies, and protection to no avail. By 2033, a group of bandits and hunters sought out a location where people would be safe.
People could sleep at, be sheltered in, and be protected. This was the start of a group called the Crusader Brigade.
In the early years of the group, the name came after the member's tradition to carve skull masks out of anything they could find, usually out of hunk of scrap or plastic in the trash can and then painting them to look white.
In 2034, the group has suffered poor soldier training and morale after being thrown into a two way war between Raiders and Mutants.
The control of the downtown area of Dallas was a risky motion that could put the entire group into jeopardy.
The Brigade sought a new way to get armed weaponry by going to a Military complex in Grand Prairie and Fort Hood. They've studied extensively and learned about the world.
Their cache of new armed guns and a small amount of tanks gave them a major advantage of scattering the raiders away from the area.
By 2035, the Crusader Brigade completely controlled Dallas, setting up basic infrastucture within the city. Survivors later citizens followed to the safe haven.
Shelters were established, they recruited any person who was willing to fight for their city.
In 2036 the Crusader Brigade focused on fortifying the outskirts and inner city before moving on to claim other terriority, especially with the horde of Mutants roaming around the areas.
Nevertheless, patrols started coming up after realizing the need to maintain and buy new equipment. The amount of trading and milita increased drastically, forming a small army. The Crusader Brigade gave protection to those that seek it in exchange of joining
the organization by citizenship.
In 2037 the group decided it was time to deal with the mutant threat once and for all, hunting parties ensured hordes wouldn't infest the urban centers by wiping them out completely through suburbs and underground tunnels.
The daily mutant horde comes and goes but at least it doesn't affect the city drastically.
By 2038 the Crusader Brigade has claimed almost the entire North Central of Texas, and seeks to focus on gathering new currency through the use of oil fields.
Updated the map.

[editline]2nd March 2015[/editline]
:v:
There's still a lot of Texas left that you could still claim as territory.
Just a heads up, I'm creating a faction around Mexico and borders into Arizona, Texas and New Mexico. Former drug/Mexican government group. Fleshing out the details because I'd like to play once more
This will be fun.

so what prevents people from just posting a picture of their army completely destroying a neighboring army/people? Does this just run on honor code?
aw shit i was going to use CO. Guess I'll join next time one of these starts.
It's an honor code. If you do something like that you'd better be prepared for a lot of angry replies and most likely a "that actually didn't happen because the poster was being a dipshit" treatment.
You know, guys, I really appreciate you kind folk using my workshop addons to use for your factions and whatnot, but would it be too much to ask for you people to make them unique just a little bit? I know this isn't ESP Wars and that I have absolutely zero jurisdiction here, but to just nab some stuff on the workshop and use it without doing anything to make them look any different is just lazy and unoriginal. Not saying you people are lazy, of course.
That's just my opinion I guess, and I know it don't mean shit unless Tbone/Rick/Jenkins says it does, but I felt like I had to say that.

why am i getting tools
I'm going to be creating a faction in the territories of Spain and Portugal soon called the Basque Republic. Just to let everyone know.

Beyond skinning, don't expect getting too "unique" out there. Everyone will still use fundamentally the exact same models. Personally, I have a million and one ideas I'd love to see/hacked/made etc. but you work with the stuff at hand.
Now, although nothing is set in stone yet, I want to reskin a certain camo style that would be more like the modern Mexican military but until then I build a foundation to work on.
I DO get what you're saying and I completely understand, I can't help but feel a tiny bit offended when someone with a particular skill tries to call for others lacking in said skills to suddenly pull something out of their ass. It's partially why I've been hesitant to join these things since Espionage Wars; I can't keep up with some of the cool shit the regulars can make.
And it's usually not just a re-skin.

who cares you can't expect everyone to know how to skin.
plus the most reasonable complaint is why is everyone's clothes/uniforms so clean in the post apocalypse.
stuff
where the fucked you cunts get all that ballistic plating 17 years after the end of a nuclear war.
downgrade your cunts seriously.
Removed the shitload of ballistic plating and the masks are just cool but impractical pieces of headwear now, along with that big guy in future scenarios.
As the years went on after the war, many communities rise, a few fall. Many war among eachother, for supplies, land, equipment or simply because of old world grudges. However, all of mankind is united in one war. The war against the new. The children of the apocalypse, slowly leaking out of their radiation zones and out into the world. They vary in size and number, and from what few communities that keep in touch the same mutants seem to appear all over. Despite the heavy variations of mutants, they also have one thing in common. It all starts with a story. This story, starts with travelers telling tales of dead and bloodies caravans and settlements, the roars of insanity and the hunger for blood.

The Berserkers.
This is a NPC faction, and the berserkers can be found all around the world. They are former men, crazed by a mix of radiation and lack of nurishment. They are men who took to cannibalism in time of needs.
They eat raw flesh, human and animal alike. They praise blood slaughter and have no remorse. They feel no pain. Their intelligence has swollen away into their madness, and they posses little communication skills other than roars and grunts, they live as a tribe and hunt as a pact.

These are basically mutants, and anyone can pose their faction fighting them.
You can not however decide large scall inflictions. Like a enormous horde of berserkers slowly wandering into, say a city.

(also yes me and rusty are aware that the berserkers hair is a little fucked up right now - we're working on it yo)
