Make a better land rover yourself :saddowns:
FFffuuuu.. How do you make these to look so freaking pure-awesomeness? I tried to start making a car, but turned out that I can't even make a fucking box! =D Do you use Builder's Physfuck? Easy Precision (no doubt of this tho)? And pls don't just say "Skillzooorsszzz!" or such, cuz I wanna learn this awesome skiiiilllllzoooorrrrr too!
Skillzooorsszz
And shift-E

I use Physgun buildmode, Easy precision, Precision alignment. With physgun buildmode it's easy to do anything. Just turn it on, Get rid of position snapping and just put the props the way you want and parent it.
Awwww I don't like parenting... If the props are too lightweight it'll screw up, even tho I put the "mass balance" on. For some reason I love smart constraint lol. But, I think you don't parent your props until the whole project is done?
And btw, what is precision alignment? A feature on Builder's Physfuck (=physfuck buildmode)?

a stool
in wenlis stool pack
Just take a wire gate and parent the selected props to it by using the multi parent tool.

Hahaha, I could never make a land rover that nice Ldesu. I didn't even notice it was too wide till you pointed it out.
no, don't die thread! :saddowns:

personal autogyro, the POS-3. Throttles forward, mouse controls pitch/troll (you can also use numpad). The more forward throttle, the more the mouse pitch makes it lift or sink, like a plane...a prototype for vtol/compound heli gunship ideas (AH-56 or V-100, anyone?) It looks cool running, because the heli shafts and the rear fan shaft spin in fixed bearings (the X-lugs spin)

the butt prop you are looking for is a ducted fan just fyi...and the machine-shop/steamfunk look is intentional.
this thread really needs more decent finished contraps that don't really deserve their own thread.

yes, more decent finished contraps that don't really deserve their own thread would be nice.
and your so-called "rover" of land has an unfortunate problem of width, causing it to be too wide, meaning it should be reduced in width so it is not so wide and is less wide.
don't ask wide.
Oh--thinking about making a swashplate heli. I thought they were like superhard, but actually they seem to be pretty easy. I found that instead of lifting the plate up to adjust collective, simply twisting it slightly on its bearings does the same thing...hmmm. *submits idea to boeing*
[editline]10:41PM[/editline]
should be noted this has two swashplate what i'm tlking about... :)
Yay, I approve of more swashplates! XXXMags recently taught me how to make one, shame that small wood props are rarely just the right size to make one :C

does his have the elevating system for increasing collective?
I'm working on one with two swashplates...one controls cyclic, staying stationary. The other is bolted directly onto the rotor shaft, and turns slightly on the shaft to create collective...unfortunately getting it to work is a nightmare. Might just say fuck it and go build a replacement for my R-30 with a realistic cyclic/collective control.
[editline]01:18AM[/editline]
I dont like fin, so it may be scrapped.
Well, for his he has a two piece swashplate. It has the second one axised to the cyclic one, and the whole assembly free floating on hydraulics being held up only by ballsockets and the ropes attached to the rotors.

am confused....so it is a standard swashplate? *looks over wikipedia again*
Seems that'd be very, uh, unreliable. hmm...could just use a hydraulic instead of a rope, with a servo...hmmmmmmm...*scratches head.*
Is there even any advantage ot using a swashplate, that's the question. I don't use fin so...
Yes, there is. The advantage is that it flies like, well, like a helicopter. I have never flown an E2 powered helicopter that feels quite right, but all swashplate helicopters feel like helicopters.
hi. have some mouseaim gcx guns.

The small one is the Seb C-50, uses the MG42. The big one is the Seb C-30, it uses GDC's M240. Applyforce, one moving part. The C-50 has realistic recoil.
