The problem with well known VAs is that they get too recogniseable. A no name one might leave you with less character association.

My voice, my beliefs, my dialogue choices, my consequences. With RPGs that include a voice acted character, like Mass Effect, I feel less like I'm projecting myself into the game world and more like I'm directing an actor. This is also my problem with the predetermined history your character has (military vet, wife + kid). Note that previous games didn't do it quite as much. In certain games, you were a person of a certain age range from a vault who left for reasons. There was plenty to fill in for yourself, less so here. The other issue is the Mass Effect problem, where dialogue choices are less "what I will be saying" and more "the general feel of what I'm going to say". There's also the possible ([B]possible[/B]) problem that voice acted lines means less variety in lines, but we'll have to wait and see. Now, despite all this, I don't think it's a huge deal like some people are making it out to be. It's more of a minor gripe to me, and I'm sure there will be alternate start mods to fix these gripes. I'm still going to get the game, roleplay the fuck out of it and love every second.

People went back to playing Gears 3 after 1 day of Judgement.
