I wish I did when I built my chair after moving into this apartment a few years ago, and about a month after it was a den of thousands of bedbugs that were so desperate to hide that many of them shoved themselves into the screw holes and died there. Overall, a disgusting experience, and waste of a good chair. So routine maintenance is a blessing.
