I got a root canal done today, took way shorter than i thought it would thank god. Hope I don't have to get another one anytime soon. Also as if my teeth weren't crooked enough, I think the dentist managed to push my front tooth even farther out than it was before, great.

Oh god I feel for you. Our healthcare and overall medical system around here is absolute garbage.
If you have to have any sort of medical treatment around here, you one, usually end up worse off because the Surgeon/Doctor/Dentist/Whatever botched the procedure, and two your wallet ends up in worse shape than you. So you're paying through the nose to let them fuck you up more.

Just recently my friend had a blood clot in his arm. He was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a one in a million birth defect where his rib is pinching a vein against the skin.
Turns out his collarbone had been knocked out of place by an accident a couple months back and it had caused the pinched vein. This problem that was evident in the fucking position of his shoulder went undetected through 4 X-Rays and a CT.
My grandfather has been all but blinded by an eye surgery he shouldn't have been able to have, but it was recommended by the doctor.
My mother has been nearly killed multiple times by doctors prescribing medicines that she can't take due to multiple medical conditions.
I fucking hate this state.

for some reason it's like this in sweden too, healthcare is mostly free and governed by the state (thank god, or lenin or whatever) but dental care is only free up until you're 20. i've been to my last appointment before turning 20 actually, do not look forward to the ridiculous fucking costs of them just looking at your stupid teeth

Last time I went to a 'public' dentist I had to pay 39€ for a root canal. Maybe you got it worse than us.

My friend went to a private one and paid about 400€ for a root canal.
