I personally have tried as much as possible over the what, 9 years I've been here to remain apolitical, but I really consider it a problem when people who have contributed to gmod and the gmod community for so long just disappear.
There's not a lot of banning going on in the screenshot section because we are for the most part left alone here, but whenever somebody does get banned, it is followed by other people being banned as well. I think 6 people got banned today.
This ripple effect has serious negative consequences because some of these people have contributed wonderful addons/mods/skins and now they'll likely just stop since the community part just disappears and actually damages the joy of playing around with newly made stuff in gmod.
The solution is obviously not to unban everyone, but rather try to grasp that a permanent ban is the equivalent of the death penalty in this section and is guaranteed to be followed by other bans. In my country a lot of criminals do get the death penalty and a very small minority of the people on death row are ultimately found not guilty.
I'm not saying that people here are innocent, but what I am saying is that forgiveness in the form of elongated bans are better for Garry's mod itself in the long run.

If this form was focused on caring about the long term survival of content creation for/with garrysmod, we would still have movies, comics, and building subforums, instead of a single homogenized environment we have now.
We would also still have release subforums in the maps and models sections.
garry has proven time and time again that forum cleanliness outweighs a content creation friendly environment.

I just enjoy doing stupid shit in gta v, even just dicking around in online is super entertaining.
I was going down route 68 and stopped at yellow jacks. There were a bunch of dudes drinking there and I promptly joined them. after a while some other dudes showed up and they to started drinking.
Eventually something happened, IDK what, and it ended with a drunken free for all fist fight in the parkinglot.

Oh and luckily about this forum and all, I've been in the army for like a year so I'm super detached.
Also I feel myself slipping away from garrysmod. Maybe the urge will come back in game design school.
Probably not tho, since I applied for sound design.

This is what always happens in little forgotten safe havens that are rarely moderated. The posting quality deteriorates overtime to below Facepunch's standards and when a mod finally visits the thread, people get banned and the rest start throwing shitfits.

it's either some jackass ram-rodding me into the stratosphere with his supped up car or me getting sniped from an overpass when im cruising
the only cool thing that's happened to me is getting chased around the city by a fellow motorcycle rider, who i eventually shook off by shooting the front tire of his bike
