I'm really hoping that its BC3 or 2143.
I doubt it would be setting in World War I. WW 2 and Vietnam seem reasonable, although I did hear some rumours about it taking place during the Cold War, but in the Eastern Block. Modern setting is the most likely (like Jimmies said, BAD COMPANY 3 PLEASE), and futuristic, given how that shit got saturated at this point, I doubt it, but if it's Battlefield 2142 style I'm down; even though that has a really low possibility of happening, but hey let me daydream a bit please.
Actually BF2143 has one of the higher possibilities, considering all the hints in the Final Stand DLC for BF4. (Titan facility, hovertanks, high-tech weapons and a mech facility all bearing the PAC emblem.)
I personally think it'll be 2143, there are so many hints and easter eggs about it that it seems to be pretty clear it's going to be a sequel to 2142. On the other hand, it seems pretty stupid to release a sci-fi game after battlefront and before Titanfall 2. The other possibility is 1944 but it's unlikely to be it.
When everyone was doing modern combat, Battlefield went modern combat. Now when everyone has moved past that and moved into doing future warfare stuff, I'm pretty certain Battlefield will also move into future warfare stuff. Though a full large scale WWII BF game taking advantage of the scale and stuff that they're capable of now would be awesome.
Just finished the first F.E.A.R. game and loved it. Really good action, smart AI, good environments. Might as well start the expansion packs while I wait for Wolfenstein to download.
world war one would be interesting wonder how theyd do that if they did
WW1 would never fit Battlefield because Battlefield is combined arms
Been having trouble sleeping lately because reasons. Has made work a real bitch too. My eyes are starting to look super fucked. Do you guys have any old video game commercials you remember or think are funny? I know the mid- to late-90s had a lot of really strange ones. Holy shit guys Wolfenstein TNO is awesome. I played six straight hours of it, only really taking breaks to get food and take shits. Here's to another six hours of Nazi huntin'. :hurr: EDIT: Finished TNO on the I Am Death Incarnate! difficulty. Assaulting Deathshead's compound was hype. I kinda want to play it again on the Fergus timeline, just because I had so much fun with it.
Just saw the Cod Infinite warfare trailer. Looks like shit. At least cod 4 remaster looks decent tho.
Personally, I just think it looks generic. None of the futuristic Call of Duty games have done anything interesting or unique with their visual style or the technology, it's all exactly what you'd expect for modern scifi and that's just kind of boring. At least it's not Ghosts 2, so it's got that going for it. I'm going to buy it just for the CoD4 remaster anyway, so even if it's just mediocre I'll have gotten my money's worth.
I heard that in order to get cod4 remaster, you need to buy the premium version of Infinite Warfare. Sounds like IW is trying to make a quick buck and bounce.
it's a clever, albeit shitty, way to get people to buy infinite warfare [editline].[/editline] I'm going to love CoD4:R though, even if I have to buy 'VDI does The World: The Game: The Sci-fi Experience' with it
They're bastards, but that's a very smart move. A lot of people (like me) are going to buy it just for the remaster alone regardless of if IW is shit.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is only available through the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
I'm sure they'll sell it standalone eventually.
-already said-
Based off what i saw from the trailer, the remaster graphically looks pretty good. I seriously can wait to play "All Ghillied Up" again.
I'm just looking forward to using real fucking guns again. Real, actual guns that actually exist. The AKM in the trailer sold me just because it was so beautiful to see an AK without any rails on in a call of duty game again. It's being developed by Raven Software (who helped with ghosts) and I've already seen recycled Ghosts assets in that short trailer, but as long as the models look correct for what they're supposed to be portraying then they can reuse whatever the fuck they want.
Speaking of CoD games and whatnot, I came to think off that in games like MW2, MW3 and such all the different factions basically have the same plate carriers and load bearing vests but in MW1 each faction had their own gear that looked different.
They all look pretty different in every game, honestly. If anything, the Opfor and Ultranationalists in CoD4 look more similar than a lot of the factions from the other games. There are differences, you just have to look. They all look the same when you're just shooting at them.
The Shadow Company and Rangers have the same gear in MW2, the Russian troops and Markovs soldiers, FSB and the winter dudes at the airport with Soap have the same type of chest rigs and whatnot. In the Black Ops games and Ghost most factions look different as well. In MW3 the Rangers are p much the same from MW2.
Leicester City have won the Premier League, you might not be intersetd in football but the odds were 5000-1 so imagine if you just put a fiver on your local team at the start, youd be balling right now

LFC fan here, but Leicester has been real good.

They're partially recycled from MW2, because there's some new/different stuff on them that doesn't appear in MW2 like new helmets and a single new chestgear model. But yes, they are fundamentally just the MW2 models. The MW2 models recycle a lot of the same gear models, but the actual vests and uniforms they're overlayed on are very different. In Ghosts, a lot of the models use the same pouches and stuff too. Consider that CoD4 only had two enemy factions and sets of models, and MW2 had seven. It makes sense to share and recycle assets to save time and space.
