Regrettably, forever.
Whats wrong with begin from the UK? And Viper, as much as I respect people who join up in the military, you wont do much of "the real thing" really unless you go into like SOG and such. Sweden doesnt really have a lot of troops out in the rest of the world and I doubt we will send out more. But good luck on it all for sure.
Whats wrong with begin from the UK?
I'm probably incredibly biased since I'm in the United Sates, but the UK is a really big loony bin about what it considers weapons and some of their non-weapon related laws are also abysmal. Having chicken wire or a screwdriver to fend off criminals is too dangerous in some places of the UK from what I read. [editline]26th January 2016[/editline] If Kali comes to the United States then he can have the loving feel of freedom 24/7 and depending on where he lives he can make Outer Heaven a possibility.
I don't really like the people, the culture, the locations, the weather, the laws, and the way things seem to be going. I just want to live out in rural Iowa or somewhere, drive a big stupid old pickup truck, wear plaid shirts and shoot guns in my yard.
Ehh. Thats pretty much the rest of the western world? Own all the guns ya want but dont talk shit on other countries for not having the same gun laws pls.

Hell, three years ago we still had a large contingent in Kosovo. Not to mention everyone who volunteers for United Nations-duty and get deployed to truckloads of different places. All in all half of our military (not counting Hemvärnet) are deployed, due for deployment or have been deployed internationally at least once.
Ehh. Thats pretty much the rest of the western world? Own all the guns ya want but dont talk shit on other countries for not having the same gun laws pls.
I wasn't really trying to talk shit but I said 'Weapons' which doesn't just go for firearms, the UK(along with certain other countries in Europe) considers an extremely large amount of stuff as deadly weapons(a lot of which aren't weapons to begin with) that wouldn't be considered a crime to own in the United States, such as a screw driver for instance. source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2203982/Electrician-tasered-50-000-volts-police-bring-having-SCREWDRIVER-pocket.html We can go on about weapons laws and the 2nd Amendment and Mass shootings and gun control and gun crime statistics all night but my point was that the UK's laws are a bit out there compared to United States Laws.
as much as id love to try airsoft i feel id end up just buying a ton of gear that i think looks cool because i went paintballing a couple months back and nearly passed out
Paintball is hilarious, there's a great field nearby where I've been on numerous occasions.

I dont wanna down talk you or anything man, but from what I believe so will you most likely stay at home unless you sign up for those units I guess?
Which I'm going to? Unless you want to be a marine patrolling the coast of Somalia, which requires a position within Amf1, any fulltime employee can, regardless of regiment, choose to participate in international service which I intend to do. But yeah, I will spend alot of time here in Sweden as international service requires at least one full year of employment within the SAF.
Ohh. I had no idea, sorry. Good luck with it all then!
No worries and thanks, I really hope I pass the trials. I've been planning this for years and exercise regularly (although I've been a bit sloppy from time to time to be completely honest) so it'd feel really horrible should I fail the test. (Physical test in the trial is literally the only part I'm worried about.)
Hopefully I'll be able to join the police response team.
I was in the Army, was discharged as a E3. Don't do infantry bullshit it fucking sucks, and once you get out it doesn't lead into any other careers unless you want to be a cop or something and if you're enlisting because you want to do airsoft irl you're enlisting for the wrong reasons. Everyone enlists for a different reason but in my case I was a big loser going nowhere so instead I decided to be a big loser lower enlisted going nowhere in the 16 RWAR.
A quick question, anyone know what type of gear the Spetnaz use in Siege? And if its correct?
A quick question, anyone know what type of gear the Spetnaz use in Siege? And if its correct?
Gorka suits, Fort Defender-2 vests in Emerald (a mixture of vest only, vest w/ neck panels and vest w/ neck and dick panels), Smersh webbing systems (brand unknown, assume SSO), probably Maska helmet (Tachanka, though it could be the Maska-style visor on any visor helmet), most likely a Sphera helmet (Fuze), multiple sets of commercial brand gloves and boots, sniper hood thing, other misc shit Correct? Not entirely sure. Mostly in line with FSB spetsnaz units (and at least one of them HAS a FSB patch on the back of his vest), but probably not entirely correct. The Maska is a weird choice because the helmet itself is old as balls, compared to almost any of the other visor helmets that the FSB (and MVD, and other Russian units) have ever issued. They're also unusually chunky even considering that the gorka is normally worn as an oversuit.
I am clearly the most fashionable sniper in MGO: [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/609478086014791614/CC2EB344D55CA874D09D3A87B5875FB317D97651/[/T]
Really disappointed you can't get camo on the utility covers, I wanted to make my scout look like a GZ marine.

Being in a combat role isn't a good idea. Don't do it. Some bits I miss but others aren't worth it.
I can see why, I'm still going to apply for international service tho if all goes well. I want to make a difference and I can't do it here at home, at least not in the same way. If I can give an entire people the hope of living in peace without having to fear for extremists by carrying a gun, if I can give them what so many take for granted then I'll do it. Trust me, I house no fantasies but this is what I want to do. It's what I believe in. Sure, you may call me naive or try to talk me out of this but I won't change my mind. I've planned to do this for years.
You don't play hero as SF. [editline]27th January 2016[/editline] You kill people then fuck off.
If you say so, I'd rather not continue this discussion as it is obvious we have different opinions about this.
Trust me, I house no fantasies but this is what I want to do. It's what I believe in.
bullcrap, you're a naive fool having wide-eyed fantasies about something that deals very closely with the line between life and death snap the fuck out of it before it gets someone killed
I want to make a difference
That's not how it works.
