They didn't seem to have American accents or wear American uniforms though?
Didn't exactly hear much of anyone saying anything so I can't say anything about the accents.
Despite America wearing brodies they did have differences in uniforms, the biggest tell-tale is they had the U.S. badges on their collars and their uniforms were green.
U.S. Badges? Aside from on officers and dress uniforms all I've seen on WWI American collars are buttons lol
As for the uniforms - the marines had forest green uniforms, but army uniforms were drab/dark green. Later WWI american uniforms seem to have ranged from that drab green to a brown shade not too different from the British and Canadian shades, such as this.
Or hell, this picture of some of the Hellfighters. While you can't see the colour, you can see the collar buttons pretty clearly.
Yeah I meant buttons not badges pls forgive am sleep deprived

Go to bed my sweet.
Oh boy more future stuff! Totally isn't enough of that already.
I liked 2142 but I'm glad they've decided to take the series in a unique direction.
Of course, but I alongside tons of other people have very fond memories from 2142 and a modern remake/sequel to it would be amazing.
I really want to relive all those awesome moments when your team manages to bring down the enemy titan against all odds or when a single, well-placed, drop pod manages to land perfectly behind enemy lines and thus breaking the frontline.
That said I'll probably get BF1 purely because I want to charge headfirst on horseback into an enemy base.
can i get a red dot scope and pick a tinny rail on my bayonet pls
i just want a future shooter that isn't filled to the brim with tacticool vomitcrap
to me the main appeal of 2142's scifi designs was how "early 2000's scifi" everything was
but for now WW1 will do just fine, it feels fresh also early tanks fuck yes
also i've been trying Battlefront. it's shallow fun, i wouldn't pay more than 10€ for it

Speccy, you download the program and it gives you a readout of your specs and temperatures

Now that I have W10 I should get more RAM and a bigger HDD since the OS can read more RAM and larger HDDs than 4TB.
So far I'm liking W10.
Holy shit are you guys rich or something? A PC like that probably costs as much as a cheap car down here.
Mine always have a budget of under $2k but if I really want to create a monster(Yellowcake Mk2) then I'll ramp it up
idk if the image will work, anyway mine cost $2000 and i got it for my bday, i wanted to build one with nanos in it but dad insisted.

That's not saying much though, cars can get real fucking dirt cheap.
I never knew how people can build a 1 or 2K$ PC when most people spends money on their hobbies too.

So tell me, i'm torn between two grooOOOOOOVVVYY games. Doom, and Hitman.
I know I talked trash about Doom, but pre-order people get The Old Blood as a bonus and i've been wanting that for a while. Also, the MP wasn't as bad as I thought so I might just be full of shit when I said this reboot won't be good.
As for Hitman, I saw Taggart play it, and I've heard lots of good things about it. Someone even said it plays more like Blood Money than the Absolution did, which is a groovy thing.
games are 4 fags. get life issues and bills, LIKE A REAL MAN

hitman is apperantly buggy as fuck, and as for doom, idk much about it, but old blood is really REALLY good imho
oh and anyone know when battlefield 1 is going on for preorder? im gonna see if i can get it
So I've been going back and playing a bunch of old C&C games recently and that got me thinking, RTS is really the only genre that has yet to go in any open world direction. Like, yeah, technically any RTS is kinda open world during the missions/matches themselves, but those are still always very much separate. What if you had a RTS that was set in one giant map and rather than just building a base from scratch at the start of every mission, you had one base that you'd have to build up, do usual RTS things and then kinda deconstruct it in order to move it to a different location? I bet that'd be a pretty fucking hard game to make but it could probably be pretty awesome and really interesting.
that's actually a really cool idea. like aoe or some other medieval rts would be awesome to see openworld

A single player open world RTS? Or multiplayer? A multiplayer one I imagine would need lots of refining and tweaking almost to the point where it would be barely recognizable as a C&C style RTS.
The pace of an RTS is usually dictated by build times and resource gathering, so for a single player open world RTS I imagine base building expands quickly, and managing several bases becomes quite a task, but the satisfaction of stomping on your opponents with the collective efforts of all of your established bases would be crazy satisfying.

Yeah that's what I'm saying, it would be a really hard game to get right. You'd need to balance everything perfectly, where you don't have to completely go crazy trying to manage multiple bases and making it so moving your bases around would be too much of a chore. It would also be really easy to make a game like that really hard. But in the end, having a campaign that actually feels like an entire massive multiplayer campaign, rather than just disconnected missions would be super interesting.
i wish i knew how to make a really nice fire effect in photoshop

4 classes again? ffs
why won't they go with battlefield 1942/2 specialized classes with some gear giving an actual tactical advantage, instead of just different weapons and basic abilities.
