It literally came down Ukraine vs. Russia with the final televotes. Look at the situation from a neutral perspective and you have Ukraine, shit voice, political song about a sad story, bad rythm, poor sync with lyrics and instruments and then you have Russia, happy song, good and easy-to-follow lyrics, active artist, impressive stage performance. Like it's so painfully obvious that this was a political win. But hey, maybe that's what everyone should do in ESC to win since it has worked twice now. Maybe Israel will send someone who sings about the holocaust, Russia could send someone singing about WW2, Norway and Finland could start singing about their past conflicts with nazi Germany/Soviet Union and hell, maybe we should send some joker singing about the danes killing most of our royal family a couple of hundred years ago. SFM is fucking weird The Workshop files download in chunks, I have to restart the program to resume downloading the files And all the files want is to overwrite files from other items like dont they have separate folders so each file doesnt conflict with others? that's shoddy work, probably on the author's part

For me and my family it's tradition, but I think most people only watch it because they're either curious (to see all the crazy contestants), because they feel an ounce of national pride or because it's tradition to watch.

We have a good server with good coding and stuff and just wondered if any people here like to seriously RP and would want to try out the server. I'd make a server advertisement thread although Facepunch doesn't allow that anymore.

In my (admittedly limited and quite outdated) experience of Gmod serious RP, it's always kind of laughable. My time on TNB was more funny than anything, because everyone seemed to be trying far too hard. The 'serious' rp just came across as cringey and awkward more often than not, and a lot of the characters just seemed like they were making such an effort to be unique and different that it was like an entire world populated by anime protagonists. also: cyber sex. lots of it.

You can't stop it. I ran a shitty little RP community about five years ago. We made a rule and enforced it but you'd still check the chatlogs and find people doing weird butt stuff in the bathrooms when everyone else has gone to bed. And then you'd get the guy who makes a character profile/app for a non-human character (for a sci-fi RP) where about 80-90% of it is an in-depth, scientific explanation of how their species' weird reproductive system works and how they fuck. Gee, I wonder what that character's going to be used for.

I regret most RP servers I've played on. I remember on this one HaloRP, the admins decided to have male genitals for their Sangheili characters to have ~intercourse~ with marines.
