Read somewhere in that thread that the avatars can be custom sized according to the individual subforum or something.
These updates have always slowly hacked off pieces of this forum, and this last one is gonna be the final nail in the coffin that will kill it. After reading what these updates are gonna do, I don't think i'll ever be able to get used to them.
