I guess the legality of it is quite arguable, though it's not like any kind of copyright holders are ever going to give any shit about that stuff.

Another thing to note is that they're not technically selling this stuff made using copyrighted materials, all that stuff is usually available for free to everyone, the patreon stuff kinda counts more as a donation to that person. Now when you get to patreon-exclusive stuff with that, then that starts getting actually shady.

Whilst the people who actually make the SFM smut might not exactly be saints, the people who actually throw money at them for that shit are the real weirdos here. Say what you will about the smut peddlers, but a lot of them have done quite well for themselves making money off of stupid people with too much money. It's not quite as bad, but it's comparable to the furfags who are willing to spend literally [I]hundreds[/I] of dollars on pictures of their terrible OCs. You could call the artists out for charging too much, the people at fault are really the people who are dumb enough to pay that much in the first place.

Yeah that's kinda the main point with that stuff, whether you think taking advantage of stupid people for money is morally okay.

I do agree that it's kind of morally questionable, but if these people are grown adults making a decision to spend money on 3d animations of video game characters fucking then that's their decision. If it was all kids using mom's stolen credit card to see titties on the internet then it would definately be wrong, but a lot of the people who pay for this kind of stuff are responsible adults.

It's really weird how many people there are out there that are willing to spend hundreds of dollars just to see drawn or CG porn that caters to their specific fetishes and stuff. I feel like this is a pretty deep topic for like academic research or some shit.

People really need to get their priorities straight. Like, I have nothing but disposable income (not very much of it, but still), and I can't really justify spending it on certain things that are fairly reasonable. I don't see how anyone can justify spending their money on porn.
