I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Ghosts 2 this year. IW did hire on new people though, and they had more time to develop whatever it is they're making, so hopefully it won't be utter shit.

The last few levels of Ghosts really turned me around on it. Those are great levels that are fucking ruined by that ending. The fact that Ghosts 2 is a thing that could happen is the main reason Ghosts is so fucking terrible. It could've been at least a decent game if [sp]rorke had just fucking died in the train and the game ended with the fleet getting orbitally bombarded. After such an awesome level and a badass fight, It could've been so satisfying like the MW3 ending was. But nope, they had to make a second one.[/sp] Fuck you, IW.

Here I'm blindly hoping for a WWI CoD or Battlefield. Also, I agree with Kali, MW2 was pretty damn good, imo.

Next Battlefield is allegedly going to be in WW1. I don't know whether that was debunked already, but that rumor was around recently. I think It could be neat, but they're going to get panned unless they go wildly stupid and unrealistic with the MP. Going from modern weaponry and vehicles to bolt-action rifles and horses isn't really going to work for the same crowd that play the other games.

I remember playing this one call of duty game where you're in pripyat and you have to sneak around Chernobyl. That part was really original and memorable, in particular when you were in the middle of a field and had to stay still as tanks and soldiers patroled by. Superb atmosphere and level design there.

I feel going to WW1 in Battlefield would cut off a lot of the player base, including me honestly. I can't see a way that'd be fun at all to people who aren't in that minority that want it. You guys are right about that, I just thought it would be an interesting setting, since WW1 dosen't get as much attention in games as those that take place in WW2 and beyond. Although, a return to WW2 could be good too, especially if it takes place in other locations rather than just France, Germany, Japanese controlled archipelagos or the USSR. Italian and African settings would be neat. Or even maybe some parts that take place during the Spanish Civil War, who knows.

As much as I'd like more games based on cool times in history, I feel like BF and CoD have kind of gotten to the point where they can't do anything like WW1 or WW2 without making MASSIVE losses, so they won't. It'd be difficult if not impossible CoD to go back from exosuits and jetpacks and all sorts of future bullshit. I feel like it's only a matter of time before Battlefield goes in a similar direction.

I feel Call Of Duty could go back to a current setting easily enough but WW2 would more than likely be risky since I feel the people getting nostalgic over CoD 5 are a minority compared to the general playerbase. It'd still be interesting though.

It may be quite surprising to hear that from me but, I don't want the next CoD to be set in WW2. I didn't like WaW really much, the way WW2 was portrayed, the soundtrack, the scenario,etc... it was quite disappointing for me, I didn't really like being a ruthless soviet soldier who's job is only killing nazis and doing nothing else, or a generic GI fighting alongside with more generic GI's in very dull locations. The whole game was too brown and the overall game design was bad to be honest. Call of Duty in general is a okay game. There were some hit and misses when it comes to me. Personally, Cod4, MW2 and Bo were some of the best COD i've ever played in my whole life. But now, it's seems like they're running out of ideas and everything after MW3 just seems generic. Although i don't like COD now, i can appropriate the amount of effort and detail they put into the character models ans how badass they look.

I'm not one of your typical "hurpa durpa" hipster CoD fans who only play it because it's popular. I was with the franchise from the very beginning: Modern Warfare! That's right, I was playing CoD before it was mainstream.

Mw2 was so disappointing compared to mw1. I played the crap out of cod4 mp and when I finally got my hands on 2 I played it for like, less than half of the time I did mw1.

Dang dude, i played the shit out of MW2. I had no life no at all and because of that, i reached to the highest rank: prestige 10, level 70. Don't judge me. After that, BO came out. It was okay. MW3 came out. Huge disappointment, story was okay but the MP had the exact same shit just as MW2. I later switched to BF3 and, like MW2, i played the shit outta it.

Decided to give reading Neo-Kosmos a try, it's okay but goddamn it does some cringey shit. It also really obviously thinks it's clever when in reality the twists can be see coming away from the other side of the fucking galaxy. Obviously originating from tumblr it likes to mess around with the whole gender thing about as subtley as a cinder block with a bit of blood and brain on it, but one of the worst parts for me was when there were character cards that listed the characters like this.
