If you can't leave the area safely really the best idea like I said, is to stay as low to the ground as you think is necessary and just don't move, don't do anything that you'd think would make the guys clearing the room see you as a threat. As I'm sure most of you other guys that are/were servicemen that have done CQB training would remember that clearing a room is a very tense situation, people running around and just erratic movements in general are gonna lead to things going to shit real fast.

And whatever you do, don't panic. Seriously, panicking is the worst thing you can do in a situation like this, for you and any other classmates that are around you. Stay safe, and please post if you can so we know you're alright.

No matter who you are; civilian, soldier, cop or whatever when the shit goes down it's hard not to panic internally, but the key word is internally. So if you are having overwhelming feelings of anxiety that's normal considering the circumstance but don't let it make you do anything stupid. Like I said I think the best course is to just sit tight and wait it out, things might feel hopeless but it's better than trying to make a move and getting killed. Eventually the Soldiers should evacuate the building.

I thought it was illegal to sell armor plates. It's even illegal to have them.

I was surprised when finding out they were legal in New Jersey which is why I picked up the cheaper one they had that other time, but I don't picture them staying legal in the next few years because of the shifting political climate. Tons of preppers and people in the gun community in the US have armor plates, so it can't be that illegal. It probably varies from state to state.

I've no idea where I'm going to go when I move to the US. All the states that are supposedly god-tier for gun ownership are far too hot for me. The current plan I've got involves setting up in Iowa first because reasons. I suppose if it's not too bad I could just stay there.

Guys I back! and I'm not dead (yet) to explain WHAT THE FUCK HAPPEND AFTER! I had to quickly leave the administration building until arriving at rectory building other students professors and co-wokers was there (the rector was trying urgently contact the Security Secretary of my State over this), I found some friends and some students we were discussing how to get out of here, as everything was almost surrounded less the highway but I not wanted to risk if was of national guard soldiers on the highway. Several propose to go into the informatics building since all were taking refuge there (and besides the medical station was there for the number of students injured), the main problem was that this building was lateral to electronics and electricity building and a building with classrooms winch was lateral to the gate and between where we were and informatics building, there is much field of view to the soldiers shoot. Until the soldiers leave and went away thing we gain time to think and the main idea was jump one of the fence to street until appeared more soldiers, more equipment, and the soldiers managed to open and get in and start firing buckshot but more close. One guy was hit in the head of several buckshots and left convulsing in the floor (the guy is in bad state in hospital) util one security guard and some students managed to get out of there to medical station, one girl was hit the face other was hit in the arm twice one of my friend was almost hit in the back util soldiers take back again outside. we were quick bypassing the Electricity laboratory and jumped the fence to reach a busy street, and and we walked very far from the university until 3 bikes of the National Guard appear immediately outside the area of my university and and we aim with shotguns and grenade launchers on the head in the middle of people with fingers on the trigger.
